Dr. Jennifer Edwards

I’VE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE. THAT’S WHY THIS WORK HAS DEPTH.

My Story

Nobody teaches you how to lead. Not in school. Not in any professional training program I’ve ever seen. You just get handed the keys and figure it out.

That’s exactly what happened to me in 2007 when I opened my veterinary practice. I was a great clinician. I was a terrible leader. I micromanaged, and I tried to nice my way through it — saying yes to everything, carrying everyone’s problems, convinced that if I just worked hard enough and cared enough, it would all come together.

It didn’t. I burned out. Not the take-a-vacation kind. The kind that makes you question everything — including yourself.

But here’s the thing — I’d been studying human behavior and personal development for years, starting with my psychology degree in college, and never stopping. When everything fell apart, that curiosity became a lifeline.

Over more than fifteen years, I trained across multiple disciplines in mindset, energy, leadership, and human behavior. What I learned didn’t just help me recover. It fundamentally changed how I led, how I communicated, and what I was creating around me.

I sold my practice in 2020 — not because I was done with veterinary medicine, but because I’d been building toward something for a long time. I became a certified coach and speaker. And now I help leaders skip the part where it all has to fall apart before it gets better.

My Why

Today more than ever, we need empowered leaders. Leaders who have the awareness and agency to create teams that can succeed without burning out. Cultures where people are engaged, respected, and fulfilled. Environments where both performance and people can thrive.

When that’s present, the impact doesn’t stop at the team. It reaches the clients. The families. The communities. When people feel fulfilled and respected at work, they carry that home. They’re kinder. More present. More generous.

The ripple effect of kindness is my why.

When I’m not working with leaders and teams, you’ll find me swing dancing, on my yoga mat, or planning my next travel adventure. I live in New Hampshire with my partner Don, my teenage daughter, and three dogs — Jackson, Phoebe, and Daphne.

My daughter and I are members of the National Charity League, a mother-daughter philanthropy organization, and enjoy doing volunteer work together. My favorite place to be is on the dock at the lake watching the water.
