Weathering the Storm of Transition

💗  I am sending hopes & prayers for the safety of those in the path of Hurricane Ian.
May you all be safe and well.  💗

Lately, I have had many discussions with close friends and loved ones about life transitions.

Change is a constant part of our lives, but periodically we go through periods of bigger change when we transition from one phase to the next.

Whether a relationship, career change, health status or a financial shift, major transitions are scary and not fun!

Often the circumstances are challenging. Either we need a change that we are scared to make, or a change happened that we did not want.

Our lives are shaken up and rattled about and we lose a sense of security not knowing which way to turn. It feels as if we are caught up in a swirl of a storm with a lost sense of power and we struggle.

Despite how awful it feels in the moment, there is hope and there are ways to ease the fear and pain.

3 Tips for Weathering the Storm of Transition

⭐️     HAVE FAITH IN THE UNIVERSE
Have faith that ultimately everything is a lesson and in your best interest. In the moment, it can be so hard to see it and that’s ok. But knowing this can help you look past current turmoil towards a brighter future.

If you look back at past events, you can see that there were lessons learned and that your troubles led you to what was next for you. Sometimes our great destinations are on the other side of our great difficulties.

⭐️     HAVE STRENGTH AND MALLEABILITY
The trees that survive the storm are those that are strong, yet can sway with the wind.

Sometimes life throws us some major challenges. Keeping a solid foundation of inner strength, inner connection, and self-love will provide the roots needed to stand firm. Accepting that not everything goes the way you planned and being able to shift and be flexible, will allow you to have experiences and outcomes that are not possible with resistance and rigidity.

⭐️     TAKE 100% RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE
This is not about blame. It is about power. You are the creator of your life and only you get to say how it goes.

If you take on being completely responsible for anything and everything in your life, you will step out of powerlessness and victim-mode and into proactively choosing and creating what’s next. Look around and see where you are blaming or being a victim. Take responsibility for what you are tolerating, your actions or inactions, and your situation.

What about yourself or your circumstances can you shift right now to start down a path towards something great?

You got this. You are strong.
You will make it through. It will all be ok.
